Equipment provided by promoter/ audio/ lighting vender:
This technical contract rider concerning the sound quality for the performance of said artist must be fulfilled so that the purchaser and audience alike will receive the best possible performance consistent with the sound created in the studios from which the artists' albums originate. It is agreed that the artists' own sound engineer shall have absolute authority in mixing and controlling all sound equipment both while the artist is performing and during the sound check. The complete sound system shall be in place and fully operational prior to the productions scheduled load in time.
If the sound system is provided by other than the artists' touring company, the following equipment and conditions must be provided. Upon receipt of this rider, the purchaser shall provide within ten (10) days, the name, address and phone number of the sound and lighting company contracted for the date. Specific sound system requirements and lighting equipment requested by the artist shall be:

House Audio System: Discreet stereo sound system, including:
- Stereo PA adequate for the room.  Preferred speakers are Vdosc, JBL Vertec, McCally, or Meyer. 
- Power amplifiers must be capable of providing 110 DB S.P.L. without distortion at the mixing console. The system should be flown whenever the venue permits.
-Any venue with seating 175 feet from stage will require a stereo delay system properly positioned, and flown if possible. 
- System must have front fill speakers to cover seats directly in front of stage.
-Stereo speaker drive system with 1/3-octave equalizers for each speaker cluster, 4-way active crossovers with time correction and limiting. (Lake, Omni drive, etc.)

Snake:
1- 40 channel 2-way split snake with snake head and 2 XLR fan outs (for FOH & Stage Left Monitor position)

AC power:
200 amp 3-phase distro.
20 amp quad box’s @ drum riser, keyboard riser, monitor world stage left, guitar world stage right, 3 down stage, and FOH (split between at least 6 circuits).  

Note:
Kansas will provide FOH and monitor consoles, microphones, stands, cables, and back line.  Kansas will also provide (2) 8x8 risers for drums and keyboards.   This equipment will be for Kansas use only.

Lighting:
-120K of conventional par cans
-(6) ACL bars
-(8) Down stage lekos
-(2) mole fays (audience lights)
-(4) Spot lights with operators
-(8) Moving lights
-(1) Lighting director to program and operate show
-(2) DF 50 Hazer’s with fans
Console -  Avo Saphire or Avo Diamond 4
-Clear com. for each spot light operator, dimmer tech, and LD
-AC power, dimmers, console, cabling, and any other equipment required to operate the lighting system

Stage:
Minimum stage size 40’ wide x 32 ‘ deep
8’x 8’ monitor world area needed down stage left
8’x 8’ guitar world area needed down stage right
8’x 8’ FOH area needed centered 75’ from stage

-The stage must have stair units, handrails, and toe rails where necessary.
-The stage must have a roof if it is set out side. 
-Promoter should provide (3) 8’x8’ pop up tents for monitor world, guitar world, and FOH positions.
-Promoter should provide a heavy-duty ramp for the equipment to roll up to the level of the stage.

Dressing Rooms:
2 Dressings Rooms required:
(1) Large dressing room with seating for 10 (couches and chairs).  If no dressing rooms are available or if room is to small to accommodate all 10 people, promoter will provide an RV or mobile home for Kansas’s use only.
(2) Large tables
(1) Refrigerator or 2 large coolers with ice
(1) Restroom with toilet and running water
(1) Coat rack with clothes hangers
(1) Additional smaller star dressing room

Note: Events where an RV is provided for dressing room, RV must have an extra large dining area with plenty of seating, large table, large counter space, sink, restroom, and a private changing area.  If Kansas’s production manager deems RV too small, promoter will provide an additional second RV.  RV’s must have working air conditioning and running water.  All RV sizes should be confirmed during advance with Kansas’s production manager.  No exceptions.

Stage Hands:
8 stagehands are needed for truck unloading, setup, tear down, and truck reloading.

Catering:
Promoter should provide lunch and diner.  Buy outs need to be advanced with production manager.  Please see Hospitality 2009 rider.
